Spelling Bee

The librarians of the Blackball Site of Paparoa Range School organised a Spelling Bee for the whole school. It was the first spelling bee to be held at the school. This took place on the 26th of August. It was very successful. There were many prizes including books, stationery, stickers and school bags. We got people engaged in spelling. We ran a team challenge and an individual finals. The winners for each year group were

My Hero - Shaun Johnson

Shaun Johnson plays for the Vodafone Warriors Rugby League club. Shaun Johnson is my hero because he is an amazing league player that inspires me to be a better player myself. This is my last season playing for Waro Rakau Rugby League Club  because I am a girl so I can only play till a certain age. This season having Shaun Johnson as my hero has motivated me to be a better rugby league player. My lifetime goal is to become a professional woman rugby league player for New Zealand.
